Winners:
“Littlewell” Mingenew Aboriginal Reserve Group, WA

Mingenew aboriginal reserve started in 1838 as a camping area for natives. Since “Littlewell” Mingenew Aborginal Reserve closed in 1972. In 2010 our aboriginal people lived a life of hardship, After consultation with families of families past and present that lived on “Littlewell” a group was established to preserve ten (10) acres of our “Littlewell” into the future for our people to enjoy our history, culture, language, heritage, Identity and a place of belonging. A place for our people to have healing of the past. Eg: stolen generation, assimilation, Welfare policies, Aboriginal people not recognised until we had the referendum. Not allowed in town after dark and the Dog Act
