Communications for Impact Award recognises outstanding initiatives by an organisation whether an internal engagement or an external communication – online marketing or social media campaign, that has measurably delivered positive social or environmental change inspire, either within an organisation or across Australia.
The Banksia Clean Technology Award recognises outstanding initiatives that showcase efficient resources through renewable energy, low emissions technology, and appreciable pollution reduction (beyond compliance) of Australia’s water, air, and land.
The Biodiversity Award recognises outstanding initiatives by an organisation or organisations in collaboration that protect our habitat, flora and/or fauna to ensure Australia’s ecosystems are secured and flourish for future generations.
The Sustainable Tourism Award recognises outstanding achievements by an organisation or organisations in collaboration in securing and where possible support and enhance local culture, empowering indigenous and local communities, as well champion the value of the protection of the natural wonders across Australia.
The Banksia Future Cities Award recognises outstanding achievements in promoting viable cities and urban spaces that provide access to safe, affordable, and sustainable living whilst creating energy and resource efficiencies in buildings, transport systems and green spaces.
The Banksia Health and Wellbeing Award recognises outstanding achievements towards promoting increased awareness and support for physical and mental health and wellbeing needs across a diverse range of individuals, groups, and communities within Australia.
The Banksia Ethical Sourcing Award recognises outstanding achievements in initiatives and programs that facilitate sustainable and economical solutions throughout supply chains across Australia and beyond.
The Banksia Agriculture and Regional Development Award recognises outstanding achievements by businesses, organisations, government bodies and individuals that facilitate sustainable strategies across regional Australia.
The Circular Transition Award recognises outstanding achievements in innovative design in waste and pollution systems and products, through to regenerating strategies. The award will go to a company that has adopted a technology, initiative or project that is helping the business move from a linear to a circular model.
The Diversity Award recognises outstanding achievements by individuals, businesses and organisations who campaign and facilitate the inclusion of people from all genders, races, ages, religions, cultures, orientations, classes, physical and mental abilities.
The Net Zero Action Award recognises organisations that can demonstrate a tangible program or initiative that evidences transition toward a 1.5 degree goal, through a publicly communicated net zero commitment, plus data, disclosures and investments to support it.
The Banksia Indigenous Award recognises leadership and innovation in sharing knowledge and respect for our Indigenous history and culture, the care of land and waterways, and supporting communities to enhance wellbeing, education and longterm economic growth.
The Banksia Youth as our Changemakers Award recognises young innovators aged between 18-35 years, who bring fresh perspectives, bold ideas and compelling initiatives that align with any or the multiple UN SDGs.
The Small and Medium Enterprise Award recognises outstanding achievements that demonstrate business and values alignment with multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals and by integrating sustainability principles and practices across business activities, whether as a for profit or for purpose organisation.

The ultimate Banksia Gold Award, this award recognises the best of the best and highlights the outstanding achievements by the overall winner from the combined Banksia award categories.
