2022 NSW Sustainability Awards are Now Open
The search is on to find NSW’s best – the 2022 NSW Sustainability Awards are open.
This follows the success of 2021, with three of the NSW Sustainability Award winners going through to win National Banksia Awards. The highest accolade, the National Gold Banksia Award, went to NSW winner Planet Protector. The search is now on to find the sustainability superstars of 2022.
From our environment to our economies, our security to our societies, sustainability is a vital part of our lives.
After the success of the inaugural 2021 NSW Sustainability Awards, the Banksia Foundation is delighted to continue to work with NSW government through the Treasurer The Hon Matt Kean to showcase the best of sustainability and innovation in NSW.
The awards encourage action and solutions that achieve practical, responsible, sustainable results while preserving jobs, contributing to economic growth, and building communities across NSW. The judges are looking for the best projects, ideas, and initiatives making the greatest difference.
“We are excited to be working at the grass roots level to discover, assess, and celebrate excellence in sustainable development across business, government, and community,” said Graz van Egmond, CEO, Banksia Foundation. “The purpose of these awards is to honour entrepreneurship, achievements and leadership which are unlocking new opportunities across NSW.”
Building on the success of last year, three new categories have been added to further champion projects and team efforts towards a sustainable future. These new categories are: Future Cities, Communications for Impact, and Primary Industry and Regional Development.
Importantly, every Category winner in the NSW Sustainability Awards automatically goes through to represent NSW in the 34th National Banksia Sustainability Awards.
