The Banksia National Sustainability Awards will give the Australian public a voice in celebrating the changemakers shaping a better future.

The brand-new Banksia People’s Choice Award, proudly sponsored by survey platform Glow, invites Australians to vote for who they believe is most deserving of national recognition. Now, everyone has the opportunity to champion the initiatives that resonate most with them.

Finalists from across all the 36th Banksia National Sustainability Awards’ categories will be in the running, with the process designed to maximise engagement while ensuring fairness and transparency.

HOW IT WORKS

Stage 1:

Open to everyone!

The public will have the opportunity to vote for their top choice from the full list of award finalists, as selected by the Banksia judges.

Stage 2

The top eight vote-getters from Stage 1 move forward.

A nationally representative sample of Australian adults will then rank their top three choices from the eight (8) finalist favourites. This ensures a balanced and unbiased selection process.

Winner

The finalist with the most #1 votes will be crowned the People’s Choice Award winner!

In the event of a tie, second and third-place votes will help determine the winner.

This exciting new award is made possible through our partnership with Glow, an Australian research-technology business committed to supporting the sustainability agenda. Glow will manage survey design and data collection via its survey platform to ensure Banksia has a robust, transparent, and inclusive voting process.
