The Banksia Sustainability Awards have a long history as a National Awards Program with a strong reputation based on a robust and transparent judging process.
As each state has a distinct focus and specific issues requiring a local approach, some initiatives need to be appreciated at a more local level. This is why the Banksia Foundation has introduced State Awards Programs.

We are taking our expertise and experience from our National Awards Program and bringing it to the various states to create state-based awards programs.
The benefit of these state awards is that we will be working with local entities, such as State Governments, to make sure that they are focused, relevant and embrace specific local issues.

Winners from each state awards have the opportunity to progress to the National Banksia Awards.

The Banksia Foundation with the support of the NSW Office of Energy and Climate Change celebrate innovation and leadership throughout the state and discover how business and community are contributing to a thriving, resilient and sustainable NSW.
