SUEZ

Finding new ways to make better use of our natural resources isn’t easy, but we’re up to the task. For over 150 years, SUEZ has led the way in partnering with businesses, governments and communities to make better use of their water and waste.

Whether it’s treating and re-using wastewater or generating renewable energy from waste, we’re committed to shaping a sustainable environment, now!

SUEZ intends to play a key role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030. SUEZ has steered its sustainable development through a global Roadmap which aims to address the challenges we are facing, as a society and as a business. In Australia, we’re committed to doing our part to help achieve the UN’s SDGs by actively seeking ways to deliver our services in a sustainable way and supporting local communities and businesses, as they strive to meet their sustainable goals.

Committed to Reconciliation

SUEZ proudly supports the Indigenous Award category, as we acknowledge the rich and valuable contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures. Our vision for Reconciliation is one where mutual respect and long-lasting partnerships foster inclusion, equality in society, recognition, and celebration for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Guided by our Innovate RAP, we’ll continue to create employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and work hand in hand with local communities and organisations towards reconciliation.

Preserving Biodiversity

This year, we’re also excited to get behind the Biodiversity Award category. We’re stepping up our role in protecting the environment and restoring our natural assets by taking actions to help protect and rehabilitate terrestrial, aquatic and marine biodiversity. To do this, SUEZ Group is accelerating the development of its ‘100% sustainable’ solutions which aim to positively impact the climate and biodiversity.
